We start our little loop today at Langeberg. It is a short walk around the park where we live, across the Brunssummerheide. First, we walk uphill for a bit, planning to loop back via some cycle paths behind the park. The weather today is grey and chilly, but not really cold. We are just wearing our cardigans, which is warm enough. Left and right we spot some mushrooms. What also stands out is that many trees have blown over due to last week's storms, but luckily they are neatly cleared to the side so we can easily keep walking.
It is incredibly quiet on the heath this afternoon. Where we normally always run into people here, there is absolutely no one around now. Which is just as well, because we are walking with a shopper bag in hand, which would probably have looked a bit odd otherwise. Especially since it is a "top-coloured pink shopper with flamingos on it". In the end, we make it back to the finish point at Langeberg without any strange looks.
